Screen Reader and Keyboard Navigation
Our site implements ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes along with various behavioral changes to ensure that blind users who use screen readers can read, understand, and enjoy the website’s features. As soon as a screen reader user enters the site, they immediately receive a prompt to access the screen reader profile, allowing them to navigate and interact with the site effectively. Here's how our site meets some of the primary requirements for screen readers, with code examples and console screenshots:
Screen Reader Optimization: We run a background process that analyzes the site's components from top to bottom, ensuring continuous compliance even during site updates. In this process, we provide meaningful data to screen readers using the ARIA attributes set. For example, we provide accurate labels for forms, descriptions for interactive icons (social icons, search icons, shopping cart icons, etc.), validation guidelines for form inputs, roles for elements such as buttons, menus, modals (popups), and more. Additionally, the background process reviews all images on the site and provides an accurate and meaningful description based on object recognition in the image, such as alternative text (ALT) for images that are not described. It also extracts text embedded in images using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology. To enable screen reader adjustments at any time, users only need to press the key combination Alt+1. Screen reader users also receive automatic announcements to activate the screen reader mode as soon as they enter the site.
These adjustments are compatible with all major screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Keyboard Navigation Optimization: The background process also adapts the site's HTML and adds various behaviors via JavaScript to make the site usable by keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the site using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, manage dropdown menus with arrow keys, close them with the Esc key, activate buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio buttons and checkboxes using arrow keys, and select them with the Spacebar or Enter key. Additionally, keyboard users will find the quick navigation menus and content jumps always available by pressing Alt+1 or as the first elements on the site when navigating with the keyboard. The background process also manages activated popups, shifting the keyboard focus to them as soon as they appear, preventing focus from leaving the popup.
Users can also use shortcuts like “M” (menu), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

UI, Design, and Readability Adjustments
Font Adjustments: Users can increase and decrease font size, change the font family (type), adjust spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
Color Adjustments: Users can select different color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can change the color schemes of titles, text, and backgrounds, with over seven different coloring options.
Animations: People with epilepsy can stop all ongoing animations with a click. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
Content Highlighting: Users can choose to highlight important elements like links and titles. They can also choose to highlight only focused or selected elements.
Audio Muting: Users with hearing devices may suffer from headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playback. This option allows users to instantly mute the audio across the entire site.
Cognitive Disorders: We use a search engine linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, acronyms, jargon, and more.
Additional Functions: We offer users the option to change the color and size of the cursor, use a print mode, activate a virtual keyboard, and many other features.

We are committed to supporting the widest range of browsers and assistive technologies possible so that our users can choose the tools best suited to them, with the fewest limitations. Therefore, we have worked hard to support all major systems that cover over 95% of the user market share, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera, and Microsoft Edge, JAWS, and NVDA (screen readers).
